This statement is not accurate. Fact is there are only so many programmers that can be employed so that PGMusic can make a profit. PG cannot do Mac and PC at the same time. If they staffed up to do this you would be paying twice what the current price is.
Long ago the routine was established - develop the new software upgrades for PC users and then spend a year getting it debugged and then porting it to the Mac. You have to remember that when PGM started there were very few Mac users around. It did not make sense for PG to try to survive off the Apple platform alone.
I too wish this was not the case - I want BIAB 2016 for the Mac NOW! But I guess I will have to wait till May(?) like everyone else.
