I think BIAB needs "Launch Audio Style Wizard" functionality.
So that when you import a standard audio tune, BIAB can figure out the rhythm section part, perfectly - and create a style from it - if it has to. That's all. I don't even care if it gets the chords wrong. Those problems can be easily fixed in the chord sheet. It's the drum part(s) timing and complex bass lines that are the hardest to figure out for many musicians. I bet.
... It's a very good request. If I was a betting man, I would think that some exploration has already been undertaken in this direction, so far (and to use your term 'perfectly') without a perfectly successful result. Nevertheless, it's definitely worthy of consideration. To achieve such a thing would be monumental. It gets my vote. +1
