I have had that problem with a midi file: I opened a midi file in RealBand and added RealTracks for accompaniment. It was always out of sync. So I got the sheet music and entered all the notes in BIAB, gave it a style for testing. Everything is o.k. And then I open the file in RB. Melody and Band are out of sync. Here is one file for testing: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37640589/Thorsa%20V6.MGUEdit: It starts in sync, stays in sync in BIAB and gets out of sync at measure 34 in RB Background: My brother and I discovered an old scratch book with a couple of tunes our dad composed in the 1950s. They are not very good, but they are his. We wanted to give him a CD for Christmas. I do have the latest recommended build of all the programs

And... The same situation is occurring in RealBand when a song is imported and run through the Audio Chord Wizard. It lines up fine in the ACW but the song will not follow the tempo when it is imported. It is off tempo enough that no RealTracks or midi tracks can be synched to it.
Tried on 3-4 files with the same results. Repeated the process in BIAB and each file worked correctly in BIAB.
An additional issue I also encountered with ACW imported files is the chords imported from the ACW are not listed at the start of the song but began listing at bar 21.
This began occurring after I upgraded to the 2016 Everything Pak.

Cool, thank you. It is not my incompetence.

Double check the drivers and settings.
I will DL the file later and test it myself. Probably over this coming weekend.

I did, Herb,
to exclude it from being Windows 10, I installed it on my laptop much sooner as I usually do. Under normal circumstances the laptop would be on BIAB/RB 2016 sometime in January or February.
I even went through the process of listening to many plings while adjusting the latency in RealBand.
For the project to fix a CD I will go back to RealBand 2015 since I can't use 2016 the way I'm used to used RealBand..
Thank you for looking into it.

Hi,
Bar 34 is interesting as this seems to indicate the end of the first chorus. Did you unfold before saving in BIAB to ensure that the file was complete when opened in RealBand???

Thank you for looking into it.
Oh yes. I did unfold, merely because BIAB still does not have the ability to "be like sheet music". It was just too complicated to have repeats and it would only save me eight measures entering a melody -- something I also could accomplish with copy and paste. You may open this file in BIAB to see.
My Workflow: In this case BIAB is a tool for rapid prototyping. Fast to enter and change chords and melody, as well as selecting styles. RealBand I use to look into certain things and it is easier to render audio tracks. In this case I wanted to see in an early stage some more detail of the new RealTracks. That is when I noticed the discrepancy of the audible output.

WORKAROUND or Maybe just a new feature:
I've found that after importing my audio into RealBand, if I complete the new click track feature and align the audio to the click track, then run the ACW to create the chord chart, everything syncs just fine.
I think the issue should be addressed so that the ACW can be used independent of the click track but presently, using the click track feature is more desirable and less dramatic a move than reverting back to the 2015 version and missing out on the 2016 new features.

I did some tests.
It probably is linked to the old world styles, like the one used in the example. Other styles seem to be o.k.
I will look into it and your workaround later.

I don't know why, but this problem evaporated.
Kent of PGMusic looked into it, gave me a hint and from then on the problem seemed to be gone, even though I did not change anything to the song.
I believe that this is a relative to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.
I do thank all of you who helped me in this case.

Glad your problem resolved. Mine still persists somewhat. I'm not sure how much of it may be something I'm doing or what may be a glitch. Can you share what Kent's tip was? Did you do any work toward applying the hint before your issue corrected itself? I may have to resolve myself to call PGMusic to resolve the issue at some point. (Could not resist the pun )

Did you do any work toward applying the hint before your issue corrected itself? I may have to resolve myself to call PGMusic to resolve the issue at some point. (Could not resist the pun ) Kent said in the email that your problem is different. "This song is playing fine for me in both Band-in-a-Box and RealBand, I'm sure we'll figure out why you're not getting the same result. I checked out that forum thread, it seems like Charlie's experiencing an unrelated issue (as far as I can tell)." After the usual questions about setup (MME/ASIO...) it was to use the "Snap to Beat" feature in the tracks window just above the tracks. I didn't do anything else. I did not touch that copy of the file itself. I hate it when somebody reports a problem and then changes the parameters, so I don't do that. Before, I worked on the file by letting the band play held and paused chords. After all, I did have to get the CD ready to mail it to my dad. If I can duplicate this error once more -- I will try that sometime before New Year's Eve, I will record it and put it up for Kent to listen. Until then the same file stays where it is right now and it will not be changed in any way. I also will try to reproduce the error with another piece of music. To be sure this will be done on my laptop which is another computer.

Thanks for the update and clarification that we may be having different issues. Things are starting to get busy here for the holiday and getting the house ready for holiday guests and I do not have any pressing projects so I will let this rest for a while.
I appreciate your attention in helping out with my issue.
