I’m in the fortunate position of having a good amount of free SSD space available and want to convert Realtracks from .WMA to .WAV to make them load a bit quicker.
In PGs FAQs it mentions about an ‘Install’ button for this very purpose in both Realdrums and Realtracks Preferences settings. Have found the one for Realdrums and converted the files, but no sign of anything similar for Realtracks.
Can someone please suggest how it can be done in something resembling a ‘batch’ process? I am, by the way, aware that a great deal of disk space will be needed and am hopeful that the 690GB currently free will be adequate.

I have the audiophile version of BIAB. This is all the original wav before they are converted to wma. By my calculations, the size of the wav-only files is abour 880 GB (this is all Realtracks).
To be honest, I don't think that you'll decrease loading time significantly by converting to wav.
Regarding the equivalent of "Install" in Realdrums, I'm not sure that that any longer exists for Realtracks.
It will be interesting to read what others say.

P.S. Allan, I'm not sure if you aware but expanding a wma file to a wav file doesn't increase its audio quality. If anything, it would have the potential to slightly reduce the quality since it would be necessary for the software to interpolate points between existing data in the wma. Such points may or may not have been present in the original uncompressed wav that was used to create the wma.

Thank you. I was aware that changing a .wma to .wav wouldn't restore the signal to its original uncompressed pristine state. Many (many) years ago I could probably have heard the difference, but advancing years and some tinnitus now make it impossible.
As far as any speed gain is concerned, I realise it is likely to be fairly marginal, but it appeals to my impatient nature to know that it is now as fast as it can be!
