While looking for alternative Sound Canvases, to my present Roland SD-50, I found a discontinued model called Edirol/Roland SD-80. I also found that there are drivers available.
Lately I have found that the SD-50 cannot cope with playing back some of my more complicated BB arrangements, while the SD-80 offers 32 parts, the instrument has 128-voice polyphony (though some sounds use more than one voice per note) and incorporates sound sets based on 1050 individual tones plus 30 drum sets.
Has anyone some first-hand experience with the SD-80, please let me know.
Strangely, I found no SD-80 on eBay, but luckily, I found a used one locally.
