I had an Edirol (by Roland) SD-80 for many years. I loved it. It was my first good hardware MIDI synth.
Polyphony was a strong point. I never had limit problems in BIAB.
I believe driver support stopped awhile ago, not sure which version of Windows but it's clearly listed on the Roland site. You won't be able to go to Windows 10.

The XPro & Xtra Styles PAKs are not included in any Band-in-a-Box® package.

They will not work with the Pro or MegaPAK version as they require the RealTracks included in the UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, or Audiophile Edition.
