Using style _JWALTZS.STY and the sax part will not erase. I select ok for both the erase track dialogue and the erase midi dialogue, but every time I regen the song, the sax part keeps re-appearing.
Any ideas on this, or is it possibly a little bug in the new version?

And if it isn't frozen, then did you record the sax to an audio track with the same name as the BIAB song?

Also... Check that the track your sax is on is not saved as a Performance File. You'll be able to see this by right-clicking on the track.

Or perhaps the sax melody was so haunting you are unable to get it out of your memory. In that case, try listening to Christmas chorales for one hour- no instrumental versions, just old classic vocal arrangements. That should do it.  Merry Christmas.

Track is not frozen  The sax track is what comes with the factory style.

I take it that you are using the Erase option from the right-click menu. I am not familiar with that but I have just been having a play around.
The style that you have loaded is defined by having the sax present. Because of this, it's not possible to "erase" this track. If, however, you loaded another Realtrack over the top of the sax track then it's possible to "erase" this second track track so that you return to the original track in the style.
If you want to delete the sax track from the style, this needs to be done through the Realtrack picker. Alternatively, the easy approach is simply to mute the track so that you don't hear the sax. The mute won't save with a song though. If you turn the track's volume to zero, this will save and the track won't be heard.

The other thing that you can do is to take a note of the tracks involved and create your own Realstyle. I always figured the Silence RT was left over from testing .. never thought of a reason for it otherwise, until your post. Thanks. I use RB more often and I had never run across the need, but now I know the solution if I do.

Reading this post I am getting a little concerned. The original problem and the responses sound like a completely different program to the 2015 Audiophile version which I use.
Surely the solution to the problem with 2015 was to mute the Sax when generating the file and then, using "Save Song with Patches and Harmony", uncheck (remove the tick) for the box in the "On?" column for Strings (Sax, whatever) when you are saving. The Sax then does not regenerate when you use the file next time.
Please tell me that this is still the case with 2016.
I have ordered 2016 Audiophile version but the external drive will probably not arrive in Australia for at least a week or so.
Or maybe I have misunderstood the original problem.

Graham, If you use the Save As option that you describe, it works fine and the change saves with the song. When I did that and reopened the song, the track was disabled as shown below.  In other words, there's nothing to worry about. All the best, Noel P.S. Thanks Graham. That wasn't a solution that occurred to me.
