Yes, it could be a good solution to position quickly a group of notes on the bass clef stave. Thanks for this idea !
Another way could be to give the possibility to force each note to be on the bass stave or on the treble stave. Something like the possibility given by BiaB to force an altered note to be a sharp or a flat.
