I am a BIAB user on PC so I only have limited ability to help in this forum.

If you have ruled out all possibilities of what might be causing this problem.... e.g. software synths, VST/DXi plug-ins, it happens on all song files not just a single file, etc., then the following is worth trying....

When BIAB stops doing things that it used to do and there's no obvious reason why it's stopped behaving properly, I always return to the original factory settings. These are located under the Options menu. Activating this will also return your sound set-up to it's original factory state, too, so you will probably need to reset audio and midi drivers (just like a new install of BIAB). (I always take a screenshopt of their setup before resetting.)
