You'll need to either find the Fluid .sf2 file from MuseScore, or re-download it from the internet. Then you'll need to find a soundfont capable VSTi. Two that I have used (not free) are Synthway's Fantasize soundfont player, as well as SynthFont. There may be others (to include free), but those two should work fine and aren't very expensive.

You can then set your default VSTi to the soundfont player, and it should respond to all 16 channels and play correctly (assuming you are using a General MIDI based soundfont.

Once you bring up the soundfont player interface, you will have the opportunity to select which soundfont you want to use. Go to wherever you saved the .sf2 file and select it.

BTW, my favorite GM soundfont is the Reality 31.9MB GM/GS soundfont, which you can find here, or you can find it in other places via Google search.
