the only interface that provides a native ASIO driver is my MAudio sound card.
None of my other interfaces, Behrenger, or Mackie provide a vendor-supplied ASIO driver. I am not trying to use recording applications simultaneously. I know that trying to run FLSTUDIO for example and BIAB at the same time is just asking for trouble. I'm not a newbie. Been doing this since Windows95 was new.
I am certain that all my programs are using ASIO since I routinely record using one interface, then listen to playback using another. In FLSTUDIO, MME is not even a configuration option when you set up your audio drivers, I do not think it is defaulting behind the scenes.
thanks for the information but my experience with ASIO4ALL has been trouble-free for almost 10 years. So I cannot really see a benefit in removing what has worked for years on every application on my system except RealBand.
RealBand is the only application that has trouble and I have demo'd and/or purchased almost everything under the sun from Cakewalk to Reaper, Traction, Sonar, Ableton, Sony MusicStudio, PreSonus studio1 etc. etc. None of these other applications had any problems with playback noise in ASIO4ALL .
Since Band In A Box does not have any problems at all, nor do any of the other programs I use or have demo'd, I think the problem to be fixed is with RealBand, and it is not an ASIO issue.
