I neglected to mention - work with a MIDI file. I don't read music so, using T&E (Trial & Error) I have successfully edited an entire song. RTs are audio so not editable without skilled microsurgery beyond the scope of this discussion. In MIDI, every parameter is editable.

An afterthought: Chord progressions are not copyright so you COULD legally load an audio file of Adele's, run it through ACW (Auto Chord Wizard) to ID the chords, then transpose to suit and all within the law.

Also, take a squint at EDITABLE NOTATION. You can do most MIDI editing from that screen.
