Hi Alyn.
Funny you should say that - The "I Can't Get No" line at the end was meant to be a jibe at Mick!
Many thanks for the listen.

Loved the scatting in there, vocals, mix, arrangement - everything about this I dig.
This is some fat blues, brother. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

HI Bob. I really appreciate that you went to those lengths just to listen to my humble song! The blues is where I feel most comfortable - glad you liked it. Many thanks for the kind review.

And all that is a very cool combo...assuming you don't

The RD and samples worked together most excellently.

Yep, the sax sounded like a member of your long time

And Janice said, "why does he worry about his vocals. They
sound fine."

And Bud said, "killer BIG sound with the production."

And you may correctly conclude that we both love it!

Hey J&B, I have no problem at all with those comparisons - all people I love and respect.
Janice - I'll always worry about my vocals, but it's a real confidence boost when someone who sings like you do makes a nice comment. Many thanks to you both for the listen and review.

Killer! And that second verse, '...instant win, instant lose' love it!

You have an undeniable style and you mix into it. The songs you present in the showcase are always memorable. This is no exception.

Take a bow.

Hi Olemon. Pleased that you picked up on "instant lose" which the advertising copy writers turned into "instant win". My wife used to write advertising copy and says - "Which would you rather buy, a brand new fragrance, or a different smell?" Never underestimate the power of words!

Thanks for all the nice things you said.

First time I think I've heard your work Rog. Agree with the comments on George Harrison / Dire Straits.

Love some of those background synth parts too.

Thanks for sharing.

Tolally enjoyed this one Rog.
Great cynical lyrics and the almost spoken vocals work for me.
Loads of style. Cheers.
