If you are winding by hand then you may want to look at this automatic string winder: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EBPowerPeg?utm_source=MSN&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&utm_term=Bing_PLA_All_Products&device=c Hold the loose string with a little tension and let this winder do its thing. I use this on all of my guitars. Whenever I get something stuck in the back of my throat, I dislodge it by drinking a beer. It's called the Heineken Maneuver. 64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
