Have you looked at your audio settings to make sure everything is set correctly and that there aren't any ASIO conflicts?

On my laptop, I have an onboard audio card (which is set as the system default card), and a USB-connected M-Audio FastTrack Pro (which is what I use to playback BIAB tracks). When I select an audio demo, I've found it uses the system defined default sound source, even though BIAB tracks play through the FastTrack.

So it's possible for one to play and the other not to. Don't know if this is your problem, but sometimes just re-selected the audio device brings it back into play (so to speak).
