There is some information stored in the registry, this includes Font data etc. A new installation will likely correct any discrepancies.

However, in general terms, the destination location is not strongly tied to Windows or the Registry, meaning that the program is 'fairly' portable.

You should be able to make a 'copy' (initially), of everything in your \Program Files (x86)\bb\ folder to x:\bb\ folder, and then after ensuring that BiaB still works (maybe not from the desktop icon though), install the upgrade using x:\bb\ folder as the destination.

Once everything is running, you could them go back and remove the redundant files in the \Program Files (x86)\bb\ folder.

My ultimate advice would be to run this past the PG Music Support team before attempting anything.
