I use MIDI drums, so with Master Track Pro, it's easy. Highlight the entire drum track, click copy, engage the change filter to only the note you want to copy, and paste to a new track. Takes about 5 minutes for a very dense drum track.

Then once the drum kit is "exploded" I can change volumes, and even drum sounds. If I want the ride to be ride bell or even cow bell it's easy. If I want to make the 2's and 4's louder, change filter to the rescue again.

It's what I love about MIDI, it's thousands times more editable than audio.
