Noel posted on Cakewalk last night they will be adding code to interface more with this feature. What this means is you can freely record without a click or metronome and line up all the instruments to it very easy. It works fantastic.
Also the sound editor is just unreal you can adjust the EQ of just a single note!!! Change the harmonics or overtones of the sound. Copy the tone of another instrument and paste them into another. It is quite something for sound design.

When you look at the lineup of music apps, there's so much of the same thing with a different name attached. But every now and then somebody comes along with a truly innovative concept, and Melodyne is one of those products (BIAB is another!)

The guy who thought up Melodyne is an amazing thinker... read his articles... his way of conceptualizing ideas and organizing them is probably the reason why he's the only person to come up with Melodyne!
