Hi Steve G, I can only tell you how I do it.

1. I opened a free account with www.Box.net or whoever you wish.
2. Once you have your free web space - upload your song file (mine are MP3 files to reduce space)
3. After your song has been uploaded click on Link File. This will give you a web address to use (I copy it by highlighting all the web address and using CTRL C)
4. Logout of your Box.net session and go to the Band in a Box forum that you want to add your song to.
5. Enter your Post with whatever title and after introducing your song (just before you want to put in your song title) click on URL (it is in blue and bold further down the screen). A box comes up and you can now PASTE your web address into the box (just remember to remove the http:/ before you add your web address or you will end up with http:/http:/www.box.net/your song address( you only need one http:/). After you click on the ok button you will see another box come up. In this box just add your song title ie. whispering shadows
when you click on ok you will see the link in your post as whispering shadows

Try it out and see if it works.
