Has anyone else noticed or reported, if the song you've just finished playing goes onto a second page, when you load the next song (or start a new one), the view stays on the second page. Previously it used to jump back to the start of the song.

Is there a setting somewhere I've missed? I'd quite like the old behaviour back. I know I can press the home key, but I'm used to BIAB doing it for me.

Regards

Yes, I noticed this too, let me do some more experimenting...

I also ran into this tonight on a large song which was 65 measures long. When I stopped it way down on measure 56 and then loaded a new song, the new song loaded with its measure 56 showing and did not go to measure 1 until the song was generated.

Looks like another bug they need to work out on the next build.

This one is rather annoying visually.

I loaded a 90 bar song. The first page was showing bar 1 to bar 68
It played the song through to bar 90, then at the end of the song it automatically scrolled back so that the first bar showing was bar 29. Maybe this is intended, however, I'll report it.

It's definitely not intended. Sometimes the next song loaded doesn't even show any bars, just all grey. I have reported it so hopefully a workable patch soon.

I've just tried the 431 update, which lists this a one of the things fixed and it's better, but still not quite right. I'm finding if a song finishes playing on a second page, when I load a new song it has bar 5 at the top of the screen, not bar 1 as it should/used to in 2015.

This also happens if I start a new song. If the current song is on page two, the new blank sheet has bar 5 at the top of the screen

So there is still a bit more tweaking required.

Andy

I can't repeat that here.
I loaded a 90 bar song. No Lyrics. 1st page shows bars 1 to 68
At the end of the song, the 2nd page "scrolls backwards" so that the entire 'end part' of the song fills the screen. Mine is showing bars 29 to 92

If I open another song, it goes to bar 1

If I play the first song again to the end and select File > New it shows a blank chord chart starting at bar 1 and 36 bars in length

What are your chord sheet settings? E.g. how many bars are displayed on the 'first' chord page.

What is the length of your song (in bars)?

In Options > Preferences > Display, if auto-adjust #rows checked, and what are the values for min/max rows?

This happens with fairly standard songs. A 32 bar song with a tag and 4 bar ending. BIAB shows all bars at the start. That's bars 1 - 41 (See first image)

I then play the song and it stops with 38 at the top. (See second image)

I then load a new, similar length song and it loads with bars 5 - 46 showing. (See third image)

Display preferences has number of columns 4, auto rows on min 10, max 17. New line for every section, min section 2. I haven't changed any of this, so I assume that is the default.

I'm running full screen on a 1920 x 1200 display.

Hi Andy

Please right-click on the BBW.exe file in your BB folder, select Properties, then select Details.

Does your build state 2016.0.5.431 ? (the number 5 is what is important)

This is for the second song. The first is the same except the "tag bars" are 31, 37, 37

Unfortunately I still cannot replicate this

I have the same screen resolution and other settings.

I have created songs with the same number of bars and set tags and ending settings the same.

Yes, I can get bar 5 to be at the top of the list after the first song finishes, but as soon as I load the next song, the top of the list is always bar 1, regardless of the length of the new song.

If you want to drop-box your songs and PM me with the links, I am happy to check.

At least I'm not alone :^)

So what are we doing differently that VideoTrack can't repeat?

I've been able to replicate this.

No need to even play the song. Just load first one, scroll so the last bar is showing then load the other song.

I've reported to PGM with some details of how to reproduce.

In fact I asked the same question in another post a few weeks ago. I was also advised that 431 would fix it but it hasn't.

Later,

431 improved it, but apparently didn't fully resolve it.
It's been reported again with steps to reproduce, so I believe that they'll be now able to sort it out.
