Ok, this has happened on several songs and it's starting to get annoying.

I create a song in BIAB. then I drag the drums into the DROP ZONE in the WAV corner. it spins, then I drag from the WAV corner into sonar.

the wave ALWAYS starts out with a reverb tail, at max volume.

anyone else experience this? am I doing something wrong? do I have a setting incorrect?

Usually its a drum "bash" at the start of the track. This bug been there for quite a number BIAB versions.

Two solutions:
1. Delete the track and do the transfer again. The second time the 'Bash' will be absent. Why, I don't have any idea.!
2. Set a volume on the drum track put a couple of nodes just before the first ticks and reduce the volume to zero before the nodes.

PGmusic have told me they don't use Sonar so the bug has not been noted. I just lived with it for many years and do the above. More important issues for them to deal with.

Re F

PS: If PG staff are looking at this - the 'bash' does not happen every time just most of the time.

for me it happens every time I've done it and if I delete the track and do it a 2nd time does not fix it.

I just remembered, tho, that prior to the 2016 update I was exporting from RB, not BIAB because the 2016 update for me added the drop zone in BIAB and I started using that instead of exporting tracks from RB.

yes, if I turn off global reverb and export it using the dropstation then I do not get the reverb tails at the beginning of the wave track!

so at least there's a work around!

you are better with it dry then you can add any fx you like in sonar without adding them over the top of other fx

As I mentioned, it's likely a buffer emptying, sounds like it's a plugin buffer.
If you let it play through to the end it likely won't happen, as the buffers get played/emptied, but if you stop the song somewhere it will.
It may also be that the track itself doesn't contain enough empty space at the end for the plugin to finish emptying (delay and reverb type effects need additional track space or time to finish processing) ..

In this case adding a couple bars of silence at the end may bring joy.
Hard to say if it is RB itself or the plugin so far.
Either way they are not 'playing nice' together.
