There are definitely some glitches remaining in the new Mac 2009 version. I also have 2009.5 build 7 and my soloists are all listed in one, long string as you described no matter when I hit the Soloist button (or shift + F5.) As a matter of fact, they seem to be completely unusable. For example, I select "(Bossa/Rock) Trumpet" and it loads a banjo with c_jethro style.
I also noticed that when loading a song with an audio memo an "Audio Memo" button appears to the right of the song title/style window, occupying the exact same space as the "Go to chords page 3 and 4" and the Favorite Folder buttons. It's jammed underneath them until you somehow click on it and then it obliterates those buttons.
