Is there a way to do a modulation in BIAB?

What if after I have all the chords inserted, I decide that I want to do a modulation at the last chorus, (I do not use the "multiple choruses" feature). I can go back and individually change those chords but there doesn't appear to be a way to select a section of the song and change it's key. Maybe I'm missing something.

Not a big deal, just wondering.

Thanks.

Not quite what you want but the Practice window (Alt Shift L) allows transposition:

Paul,

In addition to the above...

If you want to transpose a section of your song, simply go to "Edit | Transpose | Transpose from...to...". Once there, enter the starting bar of the section you want to transpose, how many bars you will be transposing, and the relevant from and to key signature information.

Regards,
Noel

I do it the manual way. I always unfold the song to one chorus and then modulating is a breeze.... I simply retype the chords that modulated step higher from the modulation point to the end....

It takes about a minute to make the changes. Nothing really in the big picture.

I also do what GuitarHacker (Herb) does; I just retype the chords. Once I do that, I go in at that point and change the key signature going forward, so the score looks correct and avoids a lot of accidentals resulting from the modulation.

Next time I need to transpose a section I will have to give this one a try. If I can save 60 seconds.... hey... !!!

The reason I often use the 'transpose from... to..." is because my songs contain melody notation. This makes it quicker and easier for me to try different possible modulations, which I usually play around with at the arranging stage, using computer-based transposing rather than manually doing it.

Old fashioned method; Save the song with a different name in the title (song2) and a different file name so you don't over write it. Change the key. Regenerate. Copy the section of chords you want. Past them into your actual song. Helps if you have one big chorus or if the mod section is in the Tag.

Does the noise in your head bother me ?
