The Audio Edit Window in Band-in-a-Box allows you to visually see a digital waveform and select, preview, and edit pieces of audio by using cut and paste commands. The window can be zoomed in or out to display any range between a complete audio track and individual samples.

The Band-in-a-Box companion program, RealBand, also has an Audio Edit Window with similar capabilities.

Having said all that, I agree that a dedicated editor program such as Audacity may prove easier to learn. Audacity can be found ++ HERE ++
