Don't know if it helps, but there is a checkbox in MIDI options to "Send Extra Note-Offs". This might help with stuck notes. It's unchecked by default, but worth a try to check it and see if it solves the problem.
As you say, worth a try but it is supposed to be designed to enhance a STOP command. In the meantime I have programmed a foot switch to send F12 - MIDI Panic, much better than trying to hit a small F12 key. Tony
