Hi guys Im new to this forum and BIAB have struggled to get Amplitube to work with biab 2016 and Ive got Jbridge.I can use Guitar rig and loads of other hosts but not amplitube. I have tried everything written on this topic previously but no luck. I have noticed there is no seperate download for Amlitube its incorporated in the biab and Realband Installation.I have tried uninstalling re installing etc but nothing.
Any help from the Masters much appreciated.
Many Thanks Guys.

Welcome to the forum, Paul. I haven't used Amplitube and can't help with this question, but you are correct that others here do have this working (I think). Help should be along shortly.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

First you said:
"… I can use Guitar rig and loads of other hosts but not amplitube."
You do know these (Guitar Rig and AmpliTube) are NOT hosts? They are just plug-ins that NEED a host like BIAB, Sonar, Cuabse, Reaper,... to work. I'll assume that was just word/phrase slip/misuse, I do it all the time, and we'll just press on.
Are you trying to use AmpliTube 3 (32 bit only) or 4 (64 bit only)? BIAB only supplies the (free) AT version 3 - so that is what I will assume we are talking about. Note, unless you have already "registered" the free AT V3 in your IK MM account the free version of AT3 3 is no longer downloadable (I think)- but the newer free AT Custom Shop (which is really just free AT Version 4) is.
If you are using AT 4 (free or commercial) then yes you will need JBridge since AT 4 is 64 bit only and BIAB is 32 bit only. But if you have the CURRENT JBridge installed and configured properly it should make no practical difference: translation, it should be "transparent" in use.
I don't normally use AT3 or 4 in BIAB (I use it in my DAW - Sonar a lot) but I just tested BOTH AT 3 (VST) and AT 4 (again VST) and they both work in BIAB - for me. Note, while I have full version of AT 3 (as well as AT4), not free but ones, the actual application (the .dll or "VST") is the SAME! The difference between free and commercial are the add-ins/ons - supplied/available amps, pedals, presets, etc.
Next, I assume you know how to and have gotten and tested OTHER audio VST's, or even DX's, to work properly in BIAB? Something like a VST reverb or VST delay or other audio effect.
I also assume you have tested/tried or have gotten this free AT 3 VST to work in some OTHER host like say Music Creator 7 or Reaper or Sonar?
If all the testing above has been done and works except within BAIB then we may need more detailed info about your set up, audio settings, drivers, etc.

To add to Larry's suggestions:
I just tested a couple of things 1. Amplitube does not work when it is plain Midi, i.e. there is no DXi or VSTi selected in the first place. 2. If I select Coyote WT or SampleTank 2 as a PlugIn in the first slot and then select Amplitube in the second slot it works as intended.

Thanks a lot for reply Larry.Sorry firstly yep wrong word 'Host'.I use Sonar Plat on windows 7 64 bit machine. I have downloaded Amp3 again from ik multimedia and low and behold it works of course with the same limited capabilities as amp4. I had Amp4 working in Sonar alone with all my other vsts/dx etc,but for some reason BIAB 2016 didnt like Amplitube. All working now tho thanks to your kind help and I now understamnd that only Amp 4 needed Bridging (i feel a bit dumb on that score)!!! Thanks a lot GHinCH also for your input. I didnt realise that you only had a few different effects with amplitube either.I had Guitar Rig with NI Komplete so I may as well just use that now. Any thoughts from all who use Amplitube,Is it worth upgrading?

Hi Paul,
Amplitube has been my go to amp sim for years now and in fact it is in all of my music in the showcase forum that contain guitar(s). Upgrading for 3 to 4 was an ok upgrade. It is not the blockbuster upgrade they said it was but IMHO it is worth it if only for the new tuner! If you have either version be sure to get the Fender and Ampex modules. They are the best guitar and bass amp emulations out there IMHO.
I have found that using 64 bit VST and VSTis in BiaB not worth the hassle ONLY because I do all of my editing in Sonar. I get the basic song down in BiaB then transfer all tracks to Sonar. Note some use BiaB, RB then another DAW. If your workflow is similar then you might want to use all of your 64 bit stuff as well as audio recording VSTs in Sonar. Note this is my workflow and others may use other workflow just as successfully.
Doc-take it easy John this is just a sharp scalpel. It will not cut deep so don't worry. Me-I'm not John Doc-I know, I am!
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
