Hi,

Was hoping for some assistance with a couple of MIDI issues that I don't think I'm understanding properly.

1. MIDI Changes - When I am playing a downloaded MIDI file and make adjustments "on the fly" whilst the music is playing (to get the right balance of volume or patch changes for my particular performance/practice), is there some way of recording or keeping these changes? The problem I find is, after looping the song for a while and getting my patches and volumes etc. to where I want them, everything is lost when I stop the track and play it again! All the initial settings are restored and I'm back at square 1. I make the necessary adjustments by either the Console view or within say TTS-1, but still these changes are over-ridden when the command comes to start the song again.

2. Default Voices - Is there a way to change default patches for BIAB/RB? I have a patch map for my instrument (RD-700GX), and would be pleased if I could command BIAB/RB to, by default, play Higher Bank/Panel voices when the MIDI track points to MIDI/GM/GM2 voices.

3. XG to GS - Do anyone know how to quickly and easily convert an XG format song to GS or GM2? I have lots of XG files that I purchased from eBay, but none of them play properly in BIAB/RB as they are looking for an XG source.

I have another 100 questions on MIDI, but these 3 to start with would be a great help :-)

Thanks,

Wes B.
