is there some way of recording or keeping these changes? The problem I find is, after looping the song for a while and getting my patches and volumes etc. to where I want them, everything is lost when I stop the track and play it again! All the initial settings are restored and I'm back at square 1. I make the necessary adjustments by either the Console view or within say TTS-1, but still these changes are over-ridden when the command comes to start the song again.

Hi. For starters, try: Prefs=>Midi=>Midi Out and disable "zero continuous controllers." Also, in the mixer window there's a "record mixer moves" button that may be worth exploring.

Is there a way to change default patches for BIAB/RB? I have a patch map for my instrument (RD-700GX), and would be pleased if I could command BIAB/RB to, by default, play Higher Bank/Panel voices when the MIDI track points to MIDI/GM/GM2 voices.

Don't think this can be done globally, wish it could. But you might explore the possibility of setting up some tracks as you want and saving as a template.

EDIT - If a template is used to set patches for BB tracks, remember to disable the style's control of patches. (Prefs=>Song tab). Uh, oh, just tested this in latest build and it appears not to work properly. BB generation changes the patch number (but not the bank settings).
