I don't know if you just miswrote this or what but this is the Real Band forum and we're talking about RB.

RB IS A DAW. You don't freeze tracks in a DAW, they're already frozen by default. If you want to add something or change something just arm an empty track and generate whatever you want to your hearts content. There's 48 tracks to work with which is plenty for most of us. That new track has nothing to do with your other tracks. They're already "frozen" but that's a useless term when you're talking about DAW's. Nobody talks about how 3 tracks of a 4 track tape are somehow frozen. They simply exist as prerecorded tracks. Nothing changes unless you deliberately erase or record over them.

Are you maybe thinking of the blue Biab tracks that show up if you open a Biab song in RB? The first thing you should do in that case is check the box that says "Make all Biab tracks regular tracks". That turns them into individual audio or midi tracks just like what you have in Sonar.

People all the time think that RB is somehow just another version of Biab. Not true. All RB is is a standard DAW that has some Biab functions added on. Once you've imported or opened Biab tracks and you're worried about generating over them just check that box. That's one of the first things that was requested way back when RB was created.
