I've asked over in RB but has anyone had success in transferring a BIAB song with Lyrics to Realband.
Can't open, import, maake Midi File or XML not sure if the problem is BIAB or RB.

I think I was able to at least partially repeat your problem.
I opened a BiaB .MGU song (that definitely has lyrics) in Realband, and RB reports that the song has no lyrics.
I can open the song OK, and it seems to be generated OK, but the lyrics window just shows as (End of Lyrics)

Same here. However, if I open a MIDI file created from with BIAB from the original MGU file, RB brings in the lyrics properly. It's just if I open the MGU file directly in RB.

I just confirmed with the same MGU file that it opens with lyrics in RB 2015 (7), but there are no lyrics available when opened in RB 2016 (even the Find Lyrics button reports that the song has no lyrics)

I just went into BIAB 2016, loaded an MGU file with lyrics on the melody line, and then did a "File, Save Special, Make A Standard MIDI File". When you get to the box to do so, be sure to click on options and see that the check box for "Write Lyrics In" is set to "General MIDI Format". I saved the file to disk, then closed BIAB, opened RB, loaded the file in, and it found my lyrics on track 6 (as it should).
So for me, lyrics definitely work with MIDI in RB; PG just needs to fix it for opening MGU files.

Just revisiting this - I get no note based lyrics via a midi file from BIAB which ever way I try with any option I can find.

Are you using line-based or note-based lyrics? The song I tried this with used note-based lyrics.

Hi John.
Found the problem with the transfer of Lyrics via MID.
It was the "Bar Settings" - Not sure if you've experience this or not but I've had a lot of issues with Bar Settings in BIAB 2016, I think it relates to songs created prior to the 2016 update.
I use "Bar Settings" extensively in my arrangements and I notice that many songs, realtracks, would stop playing after bar 2 (even with no Bar Settings on Bar 2)until I reset the Bar Settings.
This import of lyrics was also caused by the Bar Settings (from pre 2016) once I reset the Bar Settings
the Lyrics transferred fine to Realband. I can go back and put the same Bar Settings back in the arrangement and the Lyric transfer is fine, I guess it is as long as your Bar Settings are created using 2016.
