I'm not on Showcase much at the moment as I mostly use BB for personal arrangements of Covers for my solo guitar work and, mostly, they can't be included here. However, this tune was written by my good friend Oswald Perera and then arranged by me as a guitar piece. Put on here with our full permission. Lol! BB - All RealTracks - Style is _POPSTRM.STY (Pop Strumming with Organ) plus a couple of additions! Lol! Recorded in Cakewalk GTPro2 (from 2003) and mastered in Adobe Audition 1.5 of similar age. You manage to capture that timeless Surf Style so absolutely perfectly.
Fantastic tune, and I really love that you didn't need distortion or overdrive to deliver the song. I'm just not a big fan of those often over-used effects that don't necessarily add to the composition.
I'm on the 3rd listen as I type. Really, really excellent.

The first single I ever bought was "Apache" by the Shadows and this track of yours took me right back there.
Super tune and super playing. Nice subtle use of the tremolo and I particularly liked the guitar doubling later on.
Great mix and arrangement.

I'm happy that The Shadows come to mind when you hear it - I do Solo Hank Marvin and The Shadows Tribute - so it must rub off when recording new music, I guess.

BTW - that second guitar in Verse 2 almost got left on the cutting room floor. lol. I re-recorded it in the lower register and it was a much better sound and fit.

Yeah man... ditto to what they all said.
nicely done. The thing I like about it is that it immediately sounds familiar even though it's not. That is the characteristic of a hit song.
it's got that surf vibe but not overly so.... I also heard influences of Clapton in there, another great Strat player.... you also have a taste of country in the backing tracks with the groove..... nice call to leave the harmony in on the last section.

Yes -a bit of a Country take on the tune - good old BIAB Accordion in the mix. Some nice Claptonesque bends in the intro and outro otherwise quite a Shadows sound to it.
