I have been using my HP dm1 notebook to play my BinaB backing tracks during gigs for the last few years--feed to a PA
Its been running windows 7 64 bit and the audio device is IDT HD Audio
This has a great control panel with loads of equalisation presets ( Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock etc etc ) and a custom one that lets you set up your own
Hmm--upgraded to windows 10 and now when I open IDT control there are no presets and the one remaining custom option doesn't work
Tried IDT, HP and Microsoft to help --useless----- going round in circles
Does anyone know a software graphic equaliser I can download that works with BinaB and windows 10 with lots of presets
Its a real pain manually adjusting the equaliser setting on my PA mixer every time I want to play in a different genre--it was just so easy with one click to completely change the equaliser settings output on the notebook without messing about with the PA mixer.
Unless I'm being really dumb there isn't a graphic equaliser in BinaB--or is there ?????

Well, there is, but I'm not sure it will do what you want. There is a Graphic Eq you can apply to each track. I don't know if it's local to each song or global, and if there is one available for the Master, or only for each track. Others might chip in.
Either way, it's probably no where near as good as your previous setup - for what you want.

You should uninstall your old drivers first then install the new drivers as per your IDT's instructions.
Driverscape is a good site where I have never had any problems.

Ps - sometimes you have to right click on the install exe file and run as administrator, sometimes you have to run the exe file in compatibility mode and sometimes you have to do both.

In fact I had contacted IDT who said they had sold that part of their business to Tempo Semiconductors in Jan 2014 and I then contacted them.
They showed me where I could download the latest win 10 drivers as well
I am downloading and saving the downloads to the "downloads" folder and then trying to use device manager to run update the driver
I manually search for the new driver folder but when I try to update I get a message saying windows had determined you already have the correct driver even though the date is 2009 on that driver version.
It my lack of PC knowledge probably
If I open he updates there is no recognisable "setup" file so the only way I know is via device manager
Probably best to see if a friend has better PC knowledge than myself
Phil, you may have to fool Windows. Find and Rename the old driver. You will probably have to do this as Administrator. Then install the new one. You can always manually revert if needed.
