Well, looks like I'm still having some trouble - can't get midi input to trigger the VST inside BB.

First, I can confirm that, using a blank song project, BB will play styles for the Piano track when I have configured it to use the 64-bit Ivory VST.

So, starting from a blank project again, I realized that I could show the Thru track in the top right of the program using the Thru+ button. When BB opens, I confirm that I previously configured the MIDI settings to Route MIDI Thru to MIDI driver. Playing the controller at this time plays a bass instrument. I can change the instrument to a different MIDI patch if desired, such as accoustic piano, OR even the Sample Tank VST's instruments, and it still sounds when I press the controller keys.

Next, I configure Thru to output to the 64-bit Ivory VST. The VST window appears below the plugin configuration stuff, and clicking on the keys in the graphical interface results in hearing sound. However, now nothing sounds when pressing keys on the controller. If I remove the plugin, the synth midi instrument plays again when the controller is played. However, if, before removing the Ivory VST, I click off of Thru to another of the tracks in the VST/DX Synths/Plugins window, and then click back to Thru, it makes the window bigger like it's trying to load the Ivory GUI again, but it just hangs for about 20 sec, and an error appears "jBridge" "Dispatcher opcode 14 failed (Ivory/1232499321)". Then the GUI appears for Ivory and I can again click on the keys in the window to hear sound, but again no sound when playing the controller.

So.. I suppose it will work with the 32-bit vst.. so, I remove the 64-bit VST instance (BB doesn't like when two plugins are named the same thing apparently).. and actually it's hanging now .... hrm. This time it didn't come back so I had to kill BB. Didn't do that when I removed the 32-bit instance of the vst.. when BB opens again, the VST definition is gone though. OK so adding the 32-bit.. and....! well, after I make it use the small memory footprint and restart BB again... (because it has memory errors otherwise and can't recover without restarting BB).. OK! Err... well no, controller still doesn't trigger the VST.

I presume I'm doing this right. There isn't any kind of MIDI channel selection I need to do is there? I've been letting it default to not forcing a channel.
