Hi,
Does any one know of a good fast batch audio converter, preferably freeware but would look at others.
I have a one off large project to do converting a load of MP4 files to WAV and WMA.
Must be capable of batch converting.

If you have the Windows version of Biab, it includes RealBand which does batch conversions, including mp4 to wav. Not free but already paid for if you have it.
BIAB 2026:RB 2026, Latest builds: Dell Optiplex 7040 Desktop; Windows-10-64 bit, Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz CPU and 16 GB Ram Memory.

Hi,
I do have BIAB 2012 with RealBand but cannot see any menu allowing importing of MP4 files and batch converting to WMA/WAV.

I assume when you say batch convert you want to highlight all the files in a folder and import them into some kind of conversion software all at once? Maybe this exists, all I'm familiar with are DAW's.
RB has 48 tracks, you can import those files one at a time, one per track then when you save the project save it as individual wav's. Or depending on how many bars in these tracks, you can put more than one on each track but you would have to be careful to put a gap between them. I suspect importing them and saving them would be an all day affair. Other DAW's like Sonar, Cubase etc have unlimited tracks depending on the power of your computer.

Hi I use among others Switch Audio converter from these guys http://www.nch.com.au/index.htmlYou can do a batch job on a folder at a time. When the free version runs out, when you go to remove it it offers you to keep the free lversion. Do not click on any ofers you don’t want when downloading as always Also don’t forget to set the file type and bit rate in encoder options bottom of main page Also your destination location. Good luck. Totally agree. Google/bing would be my answer too. Yes, but: No search engine does provide reliable information as this forum does. Here are so many users with a widespread experience that a question like this seems worthwhile. Especially when it comes to downloading a wanted software that includes a lot of junk. Also, ask a question with a product name in it and a spam bot will, very likely, answer it.
