We've joined a Talent Scout organized by the best-known Radio Disc Jockey here in Holland, Giel Beelen. The contestants have to upload their video to the talent scout YouTube channel. All videos have to be real LIVE performances recorded in the bedroom  . The audio quality is not exactly our usual standard as we had to use one single camera, no fx. THE BEDROOM SONG Winning is almost solely based on the amount of views the video gets. There won't be a "number one winner", but you can "win" support by a real professional. So there will be more than one winner. Giel will also choose some of the videos of which he thinks are special. So that could be another way of winning. But still the amount of views are imperative. Also thumbs ups and comments count! But only on YouTube. (Although we also appreciate your comments here on the forum, of course!) We hope that all forum members are willing to help us by watching our video from start to finish (watching only part of it doesn't count as a view). We also very much encourage you to like the video and placing positive comments on it. We'd appreciate it even more if you would send the video link to as many people possible (friends, relatives, colleagues etc.). Goes without saying that you can play the video as often as you like! (all the more views). A big thanks in advance! And of course you may watch the video as many times as you like, there's no limit.
Peter, we've contacted the organisation to let them know the number of views got stuck at 129.
But we know that when there are many views at a time YouTube gets stuck sometimes and add the "missing" views later.

I played it 4 times, but the counter didn't move from
153. Looking at the high scores I doubt you ever get near those numbers. What a pity. It's such a beautiful song and a great arrangement. Most of your contestants are some cookie cutter songwriters. And the making of your video stands out, too.

Yes the counter doesn't work real time, but after some time the amount of views is adjusted.
We think the account (not ours) gets a bit too many views to handle all the time.
But in the end it works out all right.
And it's not only the views that count, there's a team judging all the videos and they may even pick out contributors, that have hardly any views if they think they've got talent.
But a constant amount of views surely makes us "stay in the picture".

Not your typical "filmed in my bedroom" video. But then again I didn't figure you would do what I'm guessing most others did.
Good work.... best wishes for the contest. I watched it 2x this morning and I'll be back to boost your views from time to time. it was up to 302 when I watched
I don't like the kind of contests that are "popularity contests" that rely on vote and view counts to select a winner. The folks with lots of online friends tend to win those.
Hopefully, you will take the time to visit and view my video contest entry... Take Me Down, (in the user showcase somewhere) and leave a comment. Fortunately, that contest is judged by a different standard than the view count, although I'm sure it's used to determine to top 100 players for final review.
