come back soon again !!!:))

This was my first mix on the upgraded Mixcraft 7

I usually use but ok, fun it was to do anyway !

This Is Spring (music & words by Norman Wibe)

Verse:

Spring is here, back again !
like a long lost friend
awake anew
she´s burstin´through
icy layers in the end

Chorus:

Oh how fun
to feel the warmin´ sun
fill your lungs with crispy air
everyone´s
on the run
in this lovely weather, fair

Verse:

Nature´s play
nothing´s gray
everything is turnin´green
floes on bay
melt away
with a speed so seldom seen

Chorus:

Oh how fun
to feel the warmin´sun
fill your lungs with crispy air
everyone´s
on the run
in this lovely weather, fair

Bridge:

Weather´s gettin´warmer by the day
soon it´s summer on display

Verse:

Love this breeze
just like a tease
is the wind that spells of spring
feel at ease
in perfect peace
ain´t it just a lovely thing

Chorus:

Solo

This is spring, sweet and lovely spring !!!

Cheers
Dani

Fantastic song Dani. A great arrangement, clever chord progressions throughout.

And I'm glad Spring has arrived. Stay warm!

Really lovely song Dani. Such a nice 60's soul feeling. Truly spring feeling, I felt definitely the crispy air smile. Maybe piano could be bit louder and the solo guitar bit quieter.

Interesting mix of crooning and country guitar - nicely evocative. Finally cooling down here following hottest February on record - so nice weather in both hemispheres.

Hi, Janne !:))

Glad you liked it !

Nice, that you got that
springfeeling as it was
exactly what I aimed for !

You may be right about
adjusting those instruments,
usually when I put in a solo
many say that it is too low,
so I thought I´d mix it pretty
high ! Maybe it was too high
this time ?

Cheers
Dani

Dani!

Your songs remind me of Burt Bacharach's and Dionne Warwick's... poppy and uplifting!

You tend to write melodic songs with chordal harmonies, and in my opinion you could probably omit the solos entirely... that type of song (at least as it manifested in the 70s) tended to be singer-focused, and therefore didn't have the solos that were the norm in musician virtuoso focused music. Instead of solos, those songs tend to have strong hooks/recurring motifs

With your background in barbershop music, which is also singer focused, it makes sense that you'd zero in on such songs, as it plays to your strengths. If I had one suggestion to make, it would be to focus on hooks in your songs. You have the chords, melody and singing all nailed!

As always, this is a wonderful song! Thanks for posting!
