In BB I can use the option to select other patches by opening a PAT file, in my case Ketron SD2 and use the extended instruments. But unless I'm missing something, I can't find that option in RB. Does it exist in RB? It would be really useful to use the extended voices of the SD2 in RB

John, As you have a SD-2, have you managed to control and edit various functions of the SD2 from within BB and/or RB? Such as Organ Drawbars, Leslie speeds, Reverbs etc. The Ketron manual seems to be all hex commands and, to me, is highly complicated.
I know you are supposed to be able to do that, but I haven't tried. I generally just use the default available sounds, and I especially like the solo flute sound (I made a recording where it fooled a choir director who teaches music at the local college, plays in two symphony orchestras, and plays clarinet and flute himself).
If I get some time, I'll take a look at the manual and see. Of course, that would probably be something I would rather do in RealBand, rather than BIAB, since it would involve embedding MIDI information onto the track to tell the SD-2 what to do.

One can of course edit MIDI events from inside BiaB also. Perhaps the RealBand editor is a little more versatile though.

You can, of course, do this in BIAB but this particular interface is really geared toward the melody and soloist tracks, as well as note-based lyrics.
