I'm hoping someone can advise me on a good real tracks style to use with Waltz for Debby. Everything I've tried is way too busy. I want that laid back feel that Bill Evans played it with, for sure since I'm using it for my vocal rendition as well as an improvising backing. I think the tempo needs to be at about 160 to 170 for a chord per measure, but then every style I try the drums and bass are way too busy. Slowing the tempo down and trying 2 chords per measure doesn't work either because it's in 3 and you wind up with one chord at 2 beats and the second at one. Anyone else out dealt with this tune and this issue?

I use _JWALZZP.STY: Jazz waltz with piano (140 RS) at 160 bpm,works fine for me

There is a waltz piano in the tempo of 185 (_FSPWALZ, demos in RealTracks126 demo folder) which might work, if the other RT's of that style are too hectic just swap them out individually for something else or force them to play held chords.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
