This song is very well done, I even detect an Elvis timbre in your voice ;-)
Rob My thoughts exactly! I started to make other comparisons, but so many people have played the blues, it's pretty hard to narrow the comparison down to any one group... but the Elvis voice is distinctive enough to note! Regarding what you personally add to the song: vocals are spot on.. your pitch is wonderful! And considering all the ways a 3 chord blues progression can be presented, I really liked your choice of instruments... especially the somewhat dark guitar. I also like your lyrics... and I will compare them to Jim Morrison's style of lyric writing. A little bit cryptic, but elemental and very good at painting the black dog mood you're shooting for!
