There is a place to set the default track type; set it stereo if that is what you want.
Its an option in Prefs
Try going to Prefs - audio tab and click the Drivers button. Make sure the tracks you have highlighted for Input match what the Focusrite is sending.
Sure sounds like the default inputs are displaying sound in VU but are not actually enabled to record.. THANKS RHARV yes I did not have the second input selected so when I switched the microphone to the other channel of my interface nothing was being recorded. Now my tracks are defaulting to MONO. And when I have two inputs recording it records them to 2 different tracks. This Forum is the best. PG support is fantastic but they were closed FRI-Monday for the holiday.
