And RealBand wouldn't know where your Cubase folder is. That's up to Cubase to manage (as Noel indicated similarly about Reaper).

I'd look at my Cubase settings to see what your options are for imported audio.

Some DAWs leave the audio where it is; others bring it into the project file; others bring it into the project folder; and others let you choose what you want to do with it.
