You can't read too much into the fact that the Ketron isn't listed on their site. The SD2 is a very low production item compared Roland or Yamaha. Plus it's mostly used by folks wanting GM sounds which the average Pro Tools user could care less about.

Your SD2 will work fine it's no different than any other module or keyboard synth.

I understand your feeling about how lots of "pros" use PT. The question is are you really a pro who will be going into a commercial studio with your tracks? The cool thing about PT is you can put your home created PT tracks on a thumb drive and take them into a studio that also uses the big commercial version of PT and those tracks will plug right in. If you think you need that then it's something to look into. Otherwise any DAW will record just as well as any other DAW. The differences boil down to workflow and very detailed features that may or may not matter to you.
