I think John Ford could answer this better, but I thought there could be a sub folder where user styles may be located, as well as in the main /BB folder.

Style files (*.sty) can only be located in one of two places in BIAB/RB to be available via the StylePicker. Either in the main BIAB folder (e.g. C:\BB) or in a sub-folder right under the main folder called "Styles" (e.g. C:\BB\Styles).

That's not to say that there may not be other style files located elsewhere, because BIAB/RB will also let the style file reside in the folder where you are loading the song (and therefore won't give you a "style not found" message).

Also, for folks that use them, remember that Yamaha style files are also called *.sty, but are not at all compatible with BIAB/RB. Additionally, there are other programs that may use the .sty extension, but again won't work in BIAB/RB.

I keep all my style files provided by PGMusic in the main BIAB folder (as well as style files purchased from Bob Norton, since they all start with the "#" character and are easily identified). I then keep all my user styles (those I've created, those I've downloaded from Yahoo's BIAB groups or from other places on the web) in the Styles subfolder, and then WinZip a backup copy of that folder so if I ever have to re-install it's pretty easy.
