Off the top of my head, electric piano equivalents of various existing acoustic ones would be nice. Patterns like the Bangles' song "Eternal Flame" would be a good start in that respect. And before you go "just use a Supertrack and pick whatever sound you like!" on me, then I have to point out that, while that certainly is (always) a valid choice, then unfortunately on the Mac it's a bit trickier to then render such options to audio alongside the other RT's straight from the Box (I'm aware of Soundflower for this purpose, I just don't have the know-how, despite having asked PGM to provide us with such a video many times!). Plus of course, sound-a-likes may vary considerably in quality, while the "real deal" you get with RT's is always solid.

Another pop related, while perhaps not exactly all that 'modern', would be acoustic 12-8 keys, where you have clearly separated RT's for chordal and arpeggiated throughout - i.e. NOT both arbitrarily between one or the other in the same play!! Make it part a for arpeggiated and b for chordal if you like, I don't care - as long as I know I'm getting one OR the other! (sorry for the abundance of exclamations, but I cannot stress enough how frustratingly annoying the existing Rt's are because of this uncontrollable randomness).

And thirdly, I find myself using this pattern a lot in my ballad songs (Ev 075 or so) and haven't yet found a decent RT representative (mainly because of their "ad-lib" tendencies instead of 'sticking to the script', in a manner of speaking):

And (just because no one else seems to be contributing), I'd like to nudge my earlier "left hand only" from the RT Wishlist section.

However... as far as modern country goes, it's pretty difficult to find keyboards or pianos being used anywhere. It's almost ALL guitars... jangly guitars, long delay guitars, staccato guitars, explosive chords guitars, highly processed steels...
MarioD, we actually just released a bunch of piano styles that we called "BentNote" pianos, that are very much in the vein of Floyd Cramer. You should check those out!
The points about piano not being very prevalent in modern country were well made. But, there is still a lot of keyboard/organ/synth. It's quite understated, which can be nice too.
That is really nice piano "flavoring". Hard to define that as a style/track though, I would think... it is almost "fills" - which would be GREAT to have. That would be a great addition on almost every area. The nylon guitar track (Brent) is INCREDIBLY useful...
I don't think of organ in the same context as piano (or keyboard) - so if you want to talk about that, we need some organ tracks with real "bite"... our organs are a bit "wimpy" - timid, lost in the background...
The last (best) example of "piano carries the song" in Country was "I Drive Your Truck"...
I'm with floyd on the organ concept. I've just remembered there was a recent post about organs you might want to check out. For me it'd be soloists that aren't quite as "out there" as the current ones (though those have values too). Something more 'mainstream' for pop/rock/blues.
p.s. oh, and even feel electric piano waltzes ("All kinds of everything"), there are so few even feel waltz Rt's, and not a single Soloist!

Tobin, thanx for bringing that to my attention. PGMusic offers so much variation in BiaB's RTs, RDs and MIDI that it is hard for this old timer not only to keep up but to remember what I have! Note that I am NOT complaining
My goal this weekend is to move just enough each day so that no one pokes me to see if I'm dead or not.

When making Piano RT's this year PLEASE consider this one - it's a huge MONSTER hit from Oct 2014. It has over a BILLION hits on YT. The piano track is beautiful and it's a great crossover style.
