It appears to me that if you follow Noel's example of setting the mix to flat, dry and center. Remove the VST's and then
Select the option: Save Current Mix As Default
you will have created a template that will set BIAB to ALWAYS SAVE files without any effects, Volume, or PAN. This would include .VST effects.
Just below is the option: Load Default Mix if it is needed when you open BIAB session. I haven't tried it, but BIAB may actually open to the 'default' setting once a 'default' has been created. The Load Default mix may be there to allow multiple templates.
Reverb can be deactivated globally in Preferences. Charlie thanks, this helped me locate the default settings, which I have searched for for days,
