I think the PG Plugins that come with PG products are actually quite decent sounding and functional. I use them often because they are so simple. But, compared to other plugins the GUIs are very boring and give them a perceived low value. I'd bet if they made fancy skins for 'em they'd be comparable to many other plugins.
Does the noise in your head bother me ?

In general, the PG plug-in's sound great but they look poor !
For example, many display of values of pot's are missing.

Personally I think the reverb and EQ could be improved from the ground up, and the UX/UI overall also.
PGMusic FX do perform well for the most part.
I also think the 'hard write' FX (16 bit non-Realtime FX) should be made real-time or dropped.
The only exception to me would be Gain Change, which should still get a facelift.
I really doubt anyone is going to run the Ring Modulator (undo) adjust Ring Modulator (undo) until they get a take.
Then again I think a 10-band parametric EQ should be a 'real time' DX/VST and not a 'hard-write' option.
Just sayin'

I would like to see the current DX plug-ins converted to VSTs and all future plug-ins be VSTs. No one, AFAIK, makes or are using DX anymore.
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

In the spirit of improving the look and feel to attract more users I also give this a +1 even though I have so many plugs in my DAW I doubt I'd ever use the BIAB built-in ones.
