Maybe using the AUX FX in combination with Track FX is the issue .. which is why I suggested using the AUX first then adding the Track FX later (in the workflow above).

Not ALL tracks need to go thru the AUX sends, but this helps me to 'group' things initially.
It's all up to your ears in the end.
