Excellent points John and this is a great example of how tricky working with computers and digital audio software is.

There's a joke in the CPA firm I work at that goes "In the best case, people remember 50% of what we tell them".

In this case it's you have to read what is there and listen to what they're telling you very carefully. Yes, ST 2.5 is completely different from ST3. And it's also correct that ST3 will not work with Biab. Why? It's because of a lot of technobabble about 32 bit vs 64 bit etc. Who knows about that? Well, you should if you're trying to work with this stuff.

The but, but, but is it can be made to work by installing a third party program. That's called a workaround and from the POV of tech support what they said is absolutely correct. Many times tech support for any company is not there to discuss workarounds. You can argue that support should have at least mentioned JBridge, but what else is new? The real point is JBridge is not part of Biab and is not owned by PGM therefore it's not part of what tech support does.

Yet again I'll say you have to be much more of a computer nerd to use this stuff than the average home PC user in spite of everybody's (not just PGM) advertising that says "It's so easy to use!".
