Ray,

If you have BIAB set to use an ASIO driver, that is most likely what is causing your problem. ASIO drivers aren't always friendly with audio applications. (I'm presently trying to solve an ASIO issue with a new driver for my soundcard and Reaper.)

Back to your problem...

Change you BIAB audio driver to MME and see if that makes a difference. There is no issue with having BIAB set to use MME and Reaper set to use ASIO. That's my standard setup.

To change BIAB's driver, select "Options | Preferences | Audio" and then select MME for the "Audio Driver Type".
