I do not hold Ctrl or Shift when I adjust the tone ! From the manual: Hold the [Ctrl] key down as you click on the track slider, or drag the thumb of the slider. This will force all tracks to move to the same absolute location as the original track. Hold the [Shift] key and it will move all tracks relative to the move of the original track.
But I don't have the slightest idea what "the thumb of the slider" is. (Well yes, it is a function. But where is it to be activated on the sliders in the mixer window.) I have not yet found that magic spot.
